In the words of Ernest Dimnet, ‘personality is the knowledge that we are apart from the rest of the universe.’ Personality insights are the secret weapon in paving one’s way towards a successful career. In the same vein, the cell conducted this workshop to aid the students to experience their self-discovery and self-development.
It was a detailed two-day workshop that was conducted on 18th and 19th November 2021. This workshop was specially designed to help the audience discover and analyze their personality through exploring the core components of character, composure, connection, creativity, and challenge with guest speaker Mr Prakash Tewari, Chairman at Tewari Group, and Ms Geeta Pande, Psychologist, Psychotherapist, and Career Counsellor.
Mr Tiwari is the chairman at Tewari group private ltd, a management development institute in Gurgaon, Haryana. An instructor in the Indian military academy and the former executive director (CSR) at DLF,ltd. Mr Tiwari acted as a specialist in laying down policy for the social, economic and environmental development of the project. Ms Geeta Pande is a counselling psychologist with wide experience in the field of counselling. she has worked with the Psychiatric Department of a leading hospital in Lucknow as a psychologist counsellor, an NGO dealing with marital counselling and another NGO dealing with the upliftment of poor girl students in remote areas of Uttrakhand as a counsellor. she is a certified career counsellor and proficient in various counselling techniques such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) with knowledge in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).

Day 1 commenced with the welcoming of everyone. Later on, Mr Prakash Tewari sir talked about discovering your personality as knowing yourself is a must to get success because success needs clarity. He also talked about the working of the brain. According to him, the important lesson is ‘if you think only as you are thinking now; you will act only as you are acting now, and you will get only what you are getting now. He tells us that to change the present state of affairs for the better you must change your thought to a more productive one, so to find the solution you have to move out of the imagined boundary. everyone should think out of the box to get success He ended the webinar with the line ‘Time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining.
On Day 2, Ms Geeta Pande started the webinar with an answer sheet format in which we have to fill the answer of personality-based questions .she then talk about the real meaning of personality, its sixteen types and eight preferences (extrovert, introvert, sensing, intuitive, thinking, feeling, judging, perceiving). she ends the webinar by saying “being unique is better than being perfect.
